Happy Summer! The first day of school for grades 1-3 is August 31st. Step-up Day for Kindergarten is September 1st and the first day of Kindergarten is September 2nd.

Congratulations to the staff and students at WPS! A recent release of school academic performance by the Maine Department of Education reports that our school had the highest 3-year average for math and reading achievement of any local school! The information was provided in the April 2, 2010 edition of the Windham Independent.
Congratulations to our staff, family and students for making Adequate Yearly Progress! Once again we are in compliance with the No Child Left Behind Act.

Windham Kindergarten Registration
We'd like parents of four year olds to know:
All children who will be five years old by
October 15, 2010 are eligible to begin school this September.
It is time to register for Kindergarten.
*Kindergarten screening will take place in June 2010
*Starting Monday, April 26, 2010, please call 892-1840 and ask for
"Kindergarten Registration" between the hours of
8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on school days to schedule an appointment.
