Happy Summer!  The first day of school for grades 1-3 is August 31st.  Step-up Day for Kindergarten is September 1st and the first day of Kindergarten is September 2nd.

Thank you for your support of the RSU #14 Budget and the Windham Primary School Budget!

Congratulations to the staff and students at WPS!  A recent release of school academic performance by the Maine Department of Education reports that our school had the highest 3-year average for math and reading achievement of any local school!  The information was provided in the April 2, 2010 edition of the Windham Independent.

Congratulations to our staff, family and students for making Adequate Yearly Progress!  Once again we are in compliance with the No Child Left Behind Act.

Thanks to the efforts of the Recycle Committee, the Go Green for Technology Committee and the WPS students and staff, we are reducing/reusing/ and recycling more than ever!

Our school has begun an initiative to reduce, reuse, recycle and acquiring new technology for students.  Please click on  Go Green to learn how you can help!

Things of which we are particularly proud -- our reading incentive program, the incredible use of student art work to enhance and demonstrate student learning, the strong emphasis on parental involvement in education, the innovative practices which are used by staff to enhance student learning, the multitude of educational teaching strategies which match student learning styles, our philosophy and belief statements and our commitment to children.

We invite you to become involved through Junior Achievement, volunteering, PTA, Adopt-A-Book and other programs. Call the Primary School to learn more!
