We can't believe it is June already!!
The school year has gone by so quickly!! There have been so many wonderful accomplishments by the students and staff at RES. We had our first "World Community Arts Day", over 400 children received "Stars of the Week", Mrs. Tarr had a limousine ride to school and our first ever Mob Dance!! It has been an exciting year!!
Horace Mann Bike Presentation
The winners of the two bikes were Caleb Crockett, a second grade student in Mrs. Parisi's class and Isabelle Thomas, a third grade student in Ms. Jolda's class. These two students were given bicycles at the May opening by Lisa Bussiere, a representative from Horace Mann Insurance Agency. Caleb and Isabelle's names were selected from a group of star of the week students. Congratulations Caleb and Isabelle!!
Grandparent's Day
We had over 150 grandparents or special guests attend Grandparent's Day on June 1st. It was a fun and exciting time!! Presentations from every grade entertained our guests, culminating with the RES chorus singing' I Have a Dream “conducted by Mrs. Gordan.
Last Day of School
The last day of school will be June 23rd. Students will be dismissed at 11:00 am. Lunch will not be served on this day. Wednesday, June 22 will be a full day of school. Students will be dismissed at 3:15 not the normal time of 12:30.
Goodbye to Mrs. Malnati
We will be having a special reception
for Mrs. Malnati on June 22 from 9 to 12. Mrs. Malnati is retiring
after 35 years of teaching students in Raymond. Come and pay your respect to this veteran teacher!!
Field Day
Field Day will be on June 17th from 1 to 3 pm. Mrs. Smith is organizing a fun filled time for all of the students and staff at RES. Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered their time to help out Mrs. Smith.
Volunteer Recognition
There will be a volunteer recognition breakfast on June 14th from 7:30 to 8:30. Please come, so we can show our appreciation for all the good work you have done for us this year.
Class lists for next year will go out to parents on Monday June 20th. Step up day to meet next year's teacher will be on Thursday June 23 from 9:30 to 10:30. Report Cards will be sent home with students on the last day of school.
“M “ is for Mob Dance
Count down to summer!! For the past five years, Ms. Cummings and her class have prepared activities for the whole school using the 26 letters of the alphabet for the last 26 days of school.
On Monday, June 9, for the letter M, the students at RES were led in a Mob Dance by students in Mrs. Valley's 6th grade class. We had great fun. If you would like to see a video of this you can go to June 14- Volunteer recognition

June 17 - Field Day -from 1 to 3 pm. ( no rain date) 4th grade attend concert at JSMS
June 21- 4th grade step up to JSMS at 1 pm
June 22- Full day of school- Mrs. Malnati's reception- all school picnic
June 23 - Step Up Day - K/3- dismissal at 11 am
